Look how lovely is looks!
Elisabeth Roulleau at Hand and Lock.
The couture embroidery tutor is wonderful – she’s from France, and whenever she’s in the UK we catch up. I always look forward to it.
She’s also one of the 100+ people who offer their wisdom in my book, Material World: The Modern Craft Bible.

The London jewellery meet-up is a monthly networking event for jewellery designers who want to get ahead in the business side of their, well, business. It’s organised by the very awesome Jessica Rose of the London Jewellery School.
Alas, one of the very few downsides of having a lovely full time job is that you don’t always get to stuff in the day. And this smashing event, which celebrates the awesome people who pass on craft skills, would have been a cracker. Ol’ Prince Charles is there, Allsopp’s hosting, and a smogasbord of lovely craft people and hanging out for the day.
Next year, I hope.

To celebrate COLLECT, the International Art Fair for Contemporary Objects at the Saatchi gallery, I was asked by the Craft Council to choose one of my favourite pieces from the show.
Who wouldn’t have gone for Bracelet ‘Koi’ by David Bielander, 2012? I love it because it’s beautiful AND functional (Dave, if you want to lend it to me next year for my wedding …)
