Knit yourself a boyfriend.

knitted-boyfriend-3

Yes, ladies and gents, if you so wanted (and had the skills and patience of artist Noortje de Keijzer), you too could knit yourself a bloke (via incrediblethings.com).

(In other, related news, today is my lovely boyfriend’s birthday. Happy birthday J.)

My COLLECT object of the day

 Bracelet 'Koi' by David Bielander

To celebrate COLLECT, the International Art Fair for Contemporary Objects at the Saatchi gallery, I was asked by the Craft Council to choose one of my favourite pieces from the show.

Who wouldn’t have gone for Bracelet ‘Koi’ by David Bielander, 2012? I love it because it’s beautiful AND functional (Dave, if you want to lend it to me next year for my wedding …)

To see the other objects chosen by the likes of the Design Museum and Ceramic Review, head to the COLLECT Pinterest board.

Isn’t this the most beautiful collage you’ve ever seen?

Liesl-Pfeffer-Topaz-2011

Yep, I think it is. It’s by Liesl Pfeffer.

I assure you, you must buy this.

I’ve been a big fan of Rosie since she started her amazing venture, DIY Couture. Now she’s only gone and written a book, which I have no doubt will be absolutely brilliant. Please do buy it from here.

And while you’re here, you should DEFINITELY go along to her launch party, on Tuesday 29 May in Hackney. Everyone is welcome. (Don’t fret – I am allowed to tell you all about it, she said I was).

This crochet lion is in BIG TROUBLE.

He/she is one of the Cultural Olympiad crochet lions, but it seems no one told the market stall holders in Lincoln. Here over at thisislincolnshire.co.uk

WOW. Shoes. Handmade. Mirrors. SWEET.

Mirror shoes

As you might remember, I’m a bit of a fan of made-over shoes.Which is why I’m rather taken with these, from Catwalk Queen.

Wow. The Felt Mistress is so clever.

Had an email last week from Jonathan (the Felt Mistress’s illustrator partner in crime), about this recent job for Arla dairies in Sweden. The posters will  be displayed on milk dispensers (milkbars) in Swedish schools and lunch restaurants, and if you can read Swedish, you can read more here.
