Nicola Horlick: when on earth does she have time to sew?

The uber-business woman admits to the Daily Mail that she loves it. Fair – it’s an amazing de-stressor – but, still. She’s got FIVE kids and a MEGA job. I write about this kind of thing, and still rarely get the time to make.

I’m glad she does though.

Knit yourself a boyfriend.

knitted-boyfriend-3

Yes, ladies and gents, if you so wanted (and had the skills and patience of artist Noortje de Keijzer), you too could knit yourself a bloke (via incrediblethings.com).

122 is the magic number.

And it’s the number of people quoted in one form or another in my forthcoming craft book, Material World.

I think I’ve surprised myself at how many that is.

Tori Spelling is like, totally getting her craft on.

Love her or hate her, you still totally want to be her: she’s hosting a new show, Craft Wars.

‘As a lifelong crafter, I love how crafting gives you the opportunity to really express yourself and show your creativity. It’s an amazing outlet and nothing shows love more than something homemade,’ she said.

It’s like music to your ears, right?

IS YOUR SEWING ADDICTION ACTUALLY A PORN ADDICTION?

This is a highly amusing dilemma I came across online …

‘Dear Miss Lonelyhearts: I suspect my wife is addicted to porn. I didn’t know, because she has a “sewing room” which was of so little interest to me, I never checked what she did in there. I knew she had TV and movies on while she sewed and never bothered to look. I thought they were chick flicks — romantic comedies. Then one day she had to run out quickly and I was looking for the remote and chanced to look in her sewing room. Imagine my surprise when there was a movie lying there with a name so dirty I can’t even tell you…’ Read on here.

As you might remember, I’m a bit of a fan of made-over shoes.Which is why I’m rather taken with these, from Catwalk Queen.
