A red and white bag + a pair of 5mm knitting needles + a white button + red thread + a safety pin = a flower brooch.

The bag was originally the packaging for my one year anniversary present Jonny sent me; I didn’t want to just throw it away (how very sentimental of me) so it got turned into “plarn” (yarn made from a plastic bag — you can find instructions here) and then into this brooch.
Plarn doesn’t half hurt your hands when you knit with it, but a quick wipe with WD40 before you cast on makes it a lot easier.
